Overall Responsibility
The Website Designer will provide marketing support for MarketingXchange, Inc. clients through our website services. This person will be involved in some strategy, creation and on-going maintenance of websites and on-line marketing tools. The applicant must have experience in HTML, CSS, PHP, and Adobe Creative Suite. There will be day-to-day involvement with making improvements of client’s on-line content and visuals with the goal of keeping them a resource at the top of their industry’s searches. The position will require some visual brand creation and management with the direction of the corresponding Account Executive (AE). The candidate must display common sense and problem solving skills for web related visual and backend issues. The Website Designer will provide quick solutions to prevent minimal downtime for clients and their lead generation.

Works With
Marketing Consultants, SEM Specialist, Copywriters, other Web Designers, Clients and the owner.
Terms of Employment
There will be a 90-day introductory period, at the end of which an employee evaluation will take place. At this time, continuation of employment will be decided upon between both parties. Insurance and retirement savings plan will be optional for the employee at this time.
Software Experience
Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator (including Vector), Photoshop, Dreamweaver, some working knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel and others are a plus. Knowledge of PC and Mac are required.
Performance Qualifications
The Website Designer must be able to work under tight deadlines. He/she must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time, including some of which may fall outside this job description. The ideal candidate must have an entrepreneurial attitude in brainstorming for new marketing ideas for clients. Being able to think on your feet without being managed is a plus. A candidate who possesses copywriting and proofreading skills will have an advantage.
Education & Work History Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent is required in web/graphic design or visual communications. A minimum of 2 years experience in an agency or corporate environment in a related position is necessary.
Work Conditions/Requirements
This position requires handling multiple tasks in short periods of time while maintaining composure with other employees and clients. High levels of stress may occur when dealing with deadlines on a regular basis. In addition, long durations of sitting are required to fulfill the duties of a Website Designer where strain on the eyes, back, neck and more can be physically challenging.
